What I Love:
Easy Pairing and Setup:
Installation of the AiDot Linkind SP6 Smart Solar Pathway Lights was surprisingly a breeze. The process was simple to follow, and I was able to begin with ease straight out of the box.
That said, I made the typical mistake of rushing to turn them on and did not thoroughly read through all the steps. I subsequently discovered that the lights are required to be paired with the AiDot app before the solar unit and lens holder can be fully assembled onto the base.
Because I was in a hurry, I had to dismantle each of them in order to perform the pairing. It only took a few minutes for each lamp to make the adjustment, but it would have been even less if only I had taken my time and paid better attention to instructions. My advice: pair first, assemble second, and it'll save you a bit of extra effort.
Amazing Build Quality:
One of the first things I noticed when I took them out of their packaging was the quality construction of these pathway lights.
The bases are made of high-quality, heavy-duty plastic, not thin, fragile plastic that is common in cheap solar lights.
They look strong enough to withstand everyday use, exposure to the weather, and regular handling.
Products for the outdoors need to be well-made, and the SP6 lights made me think that they would hold up well to the extreme summer and winter weather we experience here in Ontario, Canada.
Trendy and Sleek Look:
Looks matter when it comes to driveway and garden lighting, and these didn't disappoint. The modern, sleek design of each light gives them a smooth finish that will complement different outdoor settings.
I installed them both along my driveway and in my flowerbeds, and they look great in both areas. They add just a touch of class without being tacky, so they would make a great choice for a variety of outdoor environments.
Fun and Interactive Light Displays:
The Linkind SP6 lights truly come to life with the app-controlled features. My granddaughters enjoyed running through the presets, colour schemes, and light displays, and I have to say, I enjoyed it every bit as much.
The app is relatively simple to use, even for kids. With 43 preset effects, DIY function, and even music synchronization, the possibilities seem endless. It's not just utilitarian outdoor lighting; it's entertainment, and it is going to make decorating for holidays or parties so much more fun and faster to do.
Good Bluetooth Range:
Another feature that impressed me was the range of the Bluetooth. I can switch off the lights from my second-floor bedroom, so I do not need to venture out or go downstairs to switch them off during the night. I did not anticipate the range to be so powerful, so it was a pleasant surprise. This makes the Linkind SP6 even more practical and convenient to use on a daily basis.
Bright and Effective Illumination:
Aside from the whimsical features, the Linkind SP6 lights are very bright. We live on a busy main road, and at times it is hard to see our driveway entrance in the evening. These lights give a clear and bright path that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also makes entering the driveway safer and easier. The bright light and intelligent controls of the Linkind SP6 lights make them both decorative and extremely practical.
My Final Verdict:
The AiDot Linkind SP6 Smart Solar Pathway Lights well exceeded my expectations in terms of setup, appearance, and operation. They are a beautiful sight, durable as can be, easy to install, and, most importantly, are bright enough to improve both safety and appearance of my driveway. For illuminating your driveway, garden paths, or creating eye-catching light shows for parties and other gatherings, these lights perform well on every level.

What I liked:
The Package Looks Impressive:
I like how the box is a sharp looking purple with shades of blue light and purple light to showcase the product. The colour scale below the solar dot looks impressive and makes me feel like it can show any range of colours.
I like how the product is packaged securely with strong cardboard inserts; The product is not going to get damaged while being shipped, even if the box gets damaged a bit.
It has a strong, sturdy build that I was not worried would break. They are easy and quick to build.
They Are Easy and Quick to Pair.
The Aidot app is very user-friendly and easy to use. Super slick being able to set separate light groups to control groups of lights all at one time.
I have a sidewalk, walkway, front door and bedroom light groups/rooms so that I can control all the lights in each of those areas as groups. This feature works very well. The breadth of colours is amazing. The different lens patterns are very cool.
What I Disliked:
Difficulty Getting the Lights Into the Ground:
I have hard dirt right now because it is dry, and I found it hard to get the light stem spikes into the ground.
Trouble Changing Settings:
I did not have great Bluetooth range, but I realized this was an issue with my phone, as my wife's phone had no issue with farther distances controlling the lights. The first time I tried changing the settings on all the lights at once, it did work on all of them but one, and I had to manually change the last one.
Eventually, it did start working, where they would all change when I changed them all using the all lights settings in the app.
I found it hard to find how to change the lens pattern in the app; the instructions did not exactly match what I saw in my app, but I was eventually able to figure out how to do it. I had to click colours, then more colours to pick which lens/light pattern was used.
What Could Be Improved?:
Here are a few things that I think could make the Linkind SP6 Solar Lights:
Pre-insert the 4 lenses into the light so I don't have to; don't have 5 lenses, just pick the 4 most popular.
Have a way to turn on all 4 lights in each unit at once for even more light (so all 4 lenses are being used at once).
Have the power/pairing button on the outside of the light cover.
Include a tool to help put stakes/light stems in the ground without breaking them.
It would be nice to control the start timing of light theme presets to have all lights follow the same timing or stagger them by an amount I select.
I like that the lights turn on when someone walks by. It’s a cool effect. I also like the different settings, especially the alarm and party modes.
